Coach Sandy
Coach Sandy has an extensive background in tennis coaching and instruction. With experience coaching at the International School of Bangkok (ISB) for multiple years and providing private one-on-one lessons for children and adults in Mexico, she has honed her skills in guiding players of all ages and levels.
Born and raised in El Paso, Texas, Coach Sandy began her tennis journey when a co-worker invited her to join a local tennis team. Since then, she has dedicated over 22 years to mastering the sport, having lived and played tennis in various international locations such as Hong Kong, China, Bangkok, Thailand, and Merida, Mexico.
Actively engaged in adult leagues, social tennis groups, and competitive tournaments, Coach Sandy is passionate about promoting tennis participation among both youth and adults. She particularly enjoys playing doubles, as it fosters friendships, social interaction, physical health, and stress reduction, while also enhancing mental well-being.
Coach Sandy believes that tennis is a lifelong sport that can be embraced at any age. She prefers coaching youth under 12 years old and adult beginners, with a special focus on doubles play. She brings a wealth of practical experience and enthusiasm to her coaching sessions. One of her fondest memories is watching her children play tennis after enrolling them in a local tennis program. Additionally, she has enjoyed attending multiple professional tennis tournaments with friends, further deepening her love for the sport.
